Russia close the method of duty-free export of fuel oil.

The customs of the Russian Federation from September 14, 2020, close the method of duty-free export of fuel oil from Russia that has been in force for several years. Since 2017, a number of simple refineries have bypassed the payment of the export duty on fuel oil, passing it under a different customs code – like aromatic hydrocarbons. Experts estimate the losses of the Russian budget from this scheme at $ 1.2 billion in 2019 and already $ 700 million in this.
